The source of happiness

often i wondered, what is the source of my happiness, when i do things for others? when i give, when i value add, when i innovate... this relates to close family, buddies and associates....as they are satisfied, fulfilled, have facilities that i provide, knowledge i share, work i do, money i earn, growth opportunities that i give. is it the expectation of a reward, that makes me happy, it is the reward itself?

as i posed this question, the answer revealed itself.

it is the inner peace that makes me happy. i have access to bliss in a split second as i close my eyes. it is inside of me, and not dependent on anything i do, place i am, what i wear, what i speak, it does not define my happiness, only i do.
