Today, is Ganesh chaturthi. The day when we pray to lord ganesha to remove all obstacles in our path to achieving results.

The biggest obstacle to achieving anything is our own limiting belief, our own lmental blueprint which is devoid of abundance! It is this obstacle that lord ganesha removes today.
The vibration from mantras alter the way the mind works. It brings peace, focus, clarity when chanted. In today's chaotic world, lord ganesha blesses us with three new age mantras.
Three mantras, with three words each to transform your mindset, get all the results you desire, by having the absolute clarity.
These 3 mantras help you get ahead at phenomenal pace to achieve your goals with clarity, action and having fun!
Mantra 1. "Padi hai kya". Setting the right goal
A month back, i attended the orientation session of my daughter's management program. One of the guest speakers was a senior IT professional. He told a key phrase, several times in his talk, which set me thinking.
"padi hai kya" was the phrase in Hindi. Simply meaning, "does it matter?"
"Agar padi hai to hi kuch hoga. Padi hi nahi hai, to kuch bhi ho nahi sakta hai". If it does not matter, nothing is possible. The mind will not think of any actions to get results.
He said, he checks this about someone, before he makes a new hire. For a project, he conveys the importance of a results to the team, ensuring that they understand that it matters. It will starts from here.
Example, a student, for whom, studying does not matter, for whatever reasons, will never study, no matter for how many hours studies are done and who is the teacher.
Similarly, for a sales person, a variable salary, makes the sales numbers matter to the person. There is a financial incentive for meeting the target. It must matter to the person! Who does not like making money?
Ambrishji, our mentor, himself is not an early riser, but he is the one who can stay awake till late. However, for a game of golf, he wakes up at 4 am! Padi hai kya? Yes! The game matters to him, as it is something that he truly loves.
Another example is of spiritual learning. For most people, it does not matter. They see God as a medium to fulfill desires and take away troubles by prayer. Because it does not matter to them, they will not explore this dimension to its fullest in a lifetime, going beyond the mind. They then are in the roller coaster of the mind body experiences.
It is not that everything should matter to everyone. Its not possible. The things that matter have to be clearly known. They are only a few. Not many.
I was told another interesting aspect of this phrase by, Ambrishji when i discussed this in one of the sessions. He said.
"Agar padi nahi hai, to kisi aur se padegi (whack)!"
Simply means, if it is important, and still does not matter to you, either circumstances, or a parent, or a rival, a friend, someone will give you one ,"whack". It could be monetary, or in terms of health, in relationships... There will be consequences! Its better to realise what really matters.
Things that matter to you, set the direction for life. Make sure the right things matter, and trivial things like gossip etc, don't matter to you at all. Build focus on what matters.
This clarity helped me prioritise my work, relationships, health etc. And freedup resources from things that did not matter, to the ones that did.
Usually in life not more than twenty percent of this things, goals, actions, relationships, really matter. The key is to identify these, then make them matter. No point in dissipating energy in everything. Padi hai kya has to be selective. It can't be applied to everything and anything in life.
The things that matter should satisfy three criteria. The product decides the order of priority.
The level of impact in the five koshas. Higher the better.
The number of people impacted.
The time span of the impact.
The intense desire to give, to create enterprises to add value consistently, beyond the life span of founders, and focused on physical, mental, and spiritual well being of everyone matters the most to me at this stage. All enterprises i run have this objective, which really matters to me. The people, the events, the guidance, is all aligned to this goal.
However for a mother, taking care of one child, is the biggest thing that matters to her.
It's all about perspective. There is no set yardstick. Identify what really matters to you.
Mantra 2. "Kya karne se" The plan of action.
Once you are clear, that it really matters to you, Unless you plan to take action, that is consistent with achieving the goal is made, goals remain just in paper.
Padi hai kya? Kuch nahi kiya to padi (sleeping) hi rahegi.
"Padi" now had three meanings, depending on the context. Significance, whack and sleeping! Interesting.
Often i see people discussing problems, how things did not work out, some sympathising with the excuses given. Some appreciating all the difficulties faced...I was given three magic words by our mentor Ambrishji.
"Kya karne se...". By doing what?
I am setting this as my mindset and the culture of the company and with family and friends.
I am training our team to ask this question for whatever result they want to produce. Sales, reports, issues, cost cutting. Hiring Etc. This is the most frequently asked question in all meetings now.
Instantly, the focus has shifted from the problem to the solution. No one discuss problems anymore. They accept that there is a problem. They define it, do a root cause by asking 5 whys. And instantly ask. Kya karne se?
This has shown tremendous progress in just two months in implementing it.
Things which were not happening, due to the games, the mind plays with itself and with others, are out of the way. Kya karne se, sets the new direction.
Mantra 3. " Bahut aasaan hai" Taking the action
Unless action is taken, there are no results. Only plans remain on paper, nothing else.
Whenever, the mind comes across anything to do, it does only things, which it perceives as either easy or fun to do. Anything that is boring or perceived as difficult is simply put off to another day, and the next day and the next week, the next month, sometimes for a lifetime.
I learnt this from Sandeep maheswari, one of the best motivational speakers from India.
"Bahut aasaan hai". Its very easy. You say this 100 times. You will see that many have already done, what you are trying to do. You are not trying to land a spacecraft on Jupiter, which no one has dome so far. See their examples of success. The mind will say, if they can do it, i can also do it. The mind will only do things that it finds easy to do. So telling it, makes it look easy. In reality, things could be difficult, but the mind now believes it is easy. That is the key.
Our mind works on a model. It has a design, a mechanism etc. Its known that One of its key functions is doing what it likes to do and avoids what it does not like to do. It also does things which are easy and postpones what in difficult.
Once your mind is convinced it is easy to do. It will take action. It will schedule tasks. You will not procrastinate, or postphone things. As they are either easy or fun or both.
To summarise.
Padi hai kya. Does it matter.
Kya karne se. By doing what
Bahut aasaan hai. Its very easy.
Are the 3 magic mantras of today!
To remove all obstacles in your own mind to get phenomenal success.
And while doing all this, you will have fun, as you get completely involved in the taking action, without any doubt, be in the present moment and enjoy the process of getting to the goal.
This is. Maja aa raha hai. I am having fun! This is the crux of making things enjoyable.
Let's see my own example, of how this all works together. And the fourth mantra! Maja aa raha hai, that binds these all together in action.
I was bored walking and working out. Nothing, no alarms, no motivation, no discipline, nothing worked. I simply did not like it. My interest was zero. And it was showing in my fitness level and it's impact on the mission of value addition was huge. Padi hai kya, kya karne se and aasaan hai, were still not enough.
In this case, i realised, it is not finding the workout and walk interesting. What is the way to make something interesting? Add something interesting to it.
So I made it a habit to listen to music as i walk and workout. Time just flies. I no longer look at my watch. All the time.
Blessing
May these three phrases in three words create a world of difference in your life. May be set the right priorities, decide to take the right action and actually take it! May lord ganesha bless you will success, by removing all the obstacles, and bestow upon you, the sharp intellect, and insights, he is worshipped for.
