An Oxyconch Initiative Towards Correct Breathing
Conch / Shankh Blowing Workshop at Sampark School

OXYCONCH presents a structured Conch (Shankh) Blowing Workshop aimed at introducing underprivileged children to the ancient Indian practice of conscious breathing through Shankh Sadhana.
This initiative focuses on improving respiratory health, emotional balance, discipline, and self-confidence, while reconnecting children with India’s rich yogic and cultural heritage.
The workshop is donor-supported, ensuring that every participating child receives their own conch shell, enabling hygienic, safe, and effective learning.

Since gratitude to everyone who has contributed to the cause.

OXYCONCH Brings an Opportunity

OXYCONCH was conceived with a simple yet powerful thought: correct breathing is a life skill, and every child deserves access to it, regardless of economic background.
By introducing Shankh Sadhana at an early age, children not only gain physical benefits but also develop mental calmness, confidence, and respect for Indian traditions.
Sampark School provides the ideal environment to pilot this initiative and create a scalable model for wider outreach.

The Conch is Symbolic

In Indian tradition, the Shankh represents purity, life force (Prana), and disciplined breath.
Blowing the conch is not merely a ritual, it is a yogic breathing exercise that strengthens lungs, improves posture, sharpens focus, and builds inner stability.

Our Dharma to Preserve Cultural Wellness

It is our duty to protect and nurture our santana culture, which has imbibed great values to us, building a foundation of family, society and nation, which has not only survived the invaders, but is also resurging now.

Reviving traditional breathing practices among children is not nostalgia, it is preventive wellness.
OXYCONCH sees this initiative as a responsibility to protect, practice, and pass on time-tested Indian knowledge systems in a practical, scientific, and inclusive manner.

Shankh Sadhana & Yogic Breathing

Shankh blowing has long been associated with pranayama, sound therapy, and respiratory strengthening.
Modern lifestyle patterns have reduced natural breathing capacity in children. Structured practices like Shankh Sadhana help restore balance, awareness, and physical resilience.

Sampark – A School for Underprivileged Children

Sampark School, located in Malavli near Bhaje Village, Pune district, is dedicated to educating and nurturing children from underprivileged backgrounds.
The school actively supports holistic development programs that enhance physical health, discipline, and self-confidence — making it an ideal partner for this initiative.
