Group aum chanting reveals surrendering to supreme consciousness, being a witness, without desires.

Recently on a Sunday morning, i participated in a group aum chatting session, organised by bhaktimarga in vile parle, Mumbai. An amazing session with 30+ souls with 45 minutes of only and only aum chanting. 

The group is usually smaller, however, this time, the group was much larger, my first experience with a larger group.

Bhaktimarga, founded by our guruji paramhansa vishwananda, is blessed by maha avatar babaji to reveal the ancient techniques of aum chanting and kriya yoga to the world.

For me, my satguru, sant dyneshwar, has appeared in the form of guruji in these times to guide me further. Forms and names could be many. But the guru element, the remover of darkness, at its full awareness, is the same.

Divine connection.

I met mitul in a training program in 2018, and down the line, we are together in this journey of discovering the true self. This confirms that people and things come in your life for a purpose. Which reveals itself over time. Many thanks to my dear buddy mitul to introduce this fantastic modality to me. 

Aum, a perspective

When someone asked lord Rama, what is the one thing, i should study, to know everything, out of all the Vedas, puranas etc. He said. "Mandukya upanishad". And it's only about aum.

In dyneshwari, chapter 1, Ovi 19, mauli has shown how lord ganesha is nothing but aum. Extending this to aham brahmasmi, everyone has a Vedic geometric aum within. Which is quite different from the one we see in a written form.

Hearing the internal aum is described in a previous blog. The eternal sound within. To always be in the state of abundance.

This is what it aum. It represents the entire creation...the waking, dream and deep sleep state. And is consciousness itself.

The goal of spiritual practises is merging with aum.

In this session, we chant aum in two circles. One inner and one outer circle. The flow of the vibrational energy of aum is experienced by participants in different ways, depending on their physical and emotional state. This time the energy flow was something at a different level, altogether.

The chanting is also for the benefit of everyone around us. This is in perfect sync with "loka samasta sukhino bhavantu".

Stillness After the chanting 

I reached the chanting just in time, as I was delayed due to preparations to welcome lord ganesha at home. This time, during and after aum chanting i was surprisingly quiet and still, with most of the time in a no thoughts zone.

The resonance of

• my internal aum sound which is eternal,

• my own voice chanting aum as i exhaled and

• the groups aum sound as i exhaled and inhaled,

created a different state within. I was aware of my breath, heartbeat and aum sound, all at the same time. A wonderful experience, with the mind absolutely silent. This was like a symphony. The more the mind became silent, the more clearly, the divine sound could be heard. And the more i could hear, the more silent the mind became.

Sometimes, after the chanting, some of us go to a nearby cafe and discuss our experiences. Today, i did not feel like being with anyone, neither did anyone ask me. It was as if, i was left alone on purpose, to be in this state.

It is in the state of silence that the insightful thought comes.

As i contemplated after the chanting in silence, in the car, in the way home, i realised that...

Attachement to doing good is also an attachment. 

I have aligned my work to add value to others lives. All the ideas, enterprises and people, events, everything is aligned to this goal.

The alignment to value addition to others lives, gives fulfillment. The feeling is blissful in AnandMaya kosha, where, joy, peace, freedom, love reside.

However the attachement to do good, still remains. This attachement, though noble, is still an attachment! 

Doing good also creates an agenda, a goal and the same pursuit of achievement begins. This is also a cause of creating stress within.

Leaving even the attachment to do good to others,  i move from anadmaya kosha into the true self, beyond the fifth kosha, into pure consciousness. I am nothing but a witness. I have no desires, either to be, do have for pleasure, nor not to have, be or do to avoid pain.

Absolute Surrender

For a long time, the concept of surrender, eluded my understanding.

I realised that whatever happens is happening to fulfill the massive value addition goals through roles, both which are assigned by the parabrahman in this life form to this manifestation, which is a body, identified with a name.  The resources to fulfill these goals of "loka samata sukhino bhavantu" will also appear on their own.

I have no stress, only a state of relaxation, as i surrender myself completely to merge into the universal consciousness. The meaning of "surrender" is now clear to me. It is simply allowing one to merge into the supreme consciousness, by realising that the roles i have are not the self. There is no resistance to this merging now. This is the state of absolute Surrender.

When the clarity of one self vs many roles is not there, true surrender can not happen. what happens is a prayer to fulfill desires, repeating with new desires, again and again. Sometimes for material gains, some time for spiritual gains, like even a prayer for moksha-freedom.

The nature of Asking 

To ask something, three things are needed. The person who is asking, the act of asking and to whom it is asked. 

By absolute surrender, all three merge, now who will ask whom? This is the merging with supreme consciousness. In this state, even asking moksha is not needed.

The flow.

The thought, the goal, the effort, the people, all are forms of consciousness. Things are in a flow now. There is no struggle. No expectation. No aversion. Only acceptance. That's all. 

My sakha krishna

This supreme consciousness when manifested, takes the form of my dear sakha lord shree Krishna, who with Shakti, manifested as devis and Gopis is all the knowledge, energy and matter in the universe. 

Choice of being in bhakti marga. The path of bhakti after gyana.

Though, the journey to the self is taking me beyond AnandMaya kosha, By choice, i am immersing myself in the bhakti marga, as the gyana marga is getting clearer and clearer each day.

True self is always chidananda Rupa shivoham shivoham. Blissful with bhatki and shivoham with the eternal knowledge.
