Dual purpose of life:

This is the dual purpose of life. Self liberation when alive, not after death and well being for all....

This was formulated by radhika, a sanskrit scholar and my dear friend milinds daughter, when i told her in plain Hindi and English, what i wanted it to mean. This has become the guiding principle of life now.

Jeevanmukti

The eternal internal aum sound is jeevanmukti. As it overcomes the mind. And is within.

Sarva loka kalyanam

The external business ventures, roles of family, friends, society, are for value addition. This is external, visible.

Business profits

All ventures are for value addition. A part of the value add comes back as profit. If the model is correct.

Dharma

The purpose of adding value to others life, is the only dharma to follow.

Pitfalls of profits

As businesses generate profits, and they increase, the ego increases exponentially. Suddenly you have apparent control over people, markets, money and seek new ways, new experiences to satisfy the mind. Many people are pursuing money, without fulfillment.

No need beyond the basics.

No attachement to the profit, this is possible when other than the basic needs, the profit is meant for sarva loka kalyanam.

Profits can not give me jeevanmukti. Hence they are directed to sarva loka kalyanam. So i am not attached to the profit i make... It too has a purpose. So i am always in action.

My friends clarity

My friend Rohit says, do whatever is aligned to your goals or is neutral. Never anything that is against it. No wonder, i call him Newton!

Out of the trap of contentment

I am out of the trap of being contented within and being unambitious, because I am spiritual. I have seen many spiritual people lose interest in doing anything. They are only focusing on one goal of mukti, but What about the other?

Gurukuls and village development

Gurukuls were aligned to both. Along with self realization, they were aligned to community projects like making lakes, roads etc. This made Bharat great at the grass root level.

Adaptation

Today, we have to get the same spirit back, but in today's context. The principles remain the same. The implementation changes over a period of time.

Motive

Instead of profits as the motive, i set value addition as the motive, with the right model, profit will follow. It's a by by product.

Active outside. Still inside

My mentor ambrishji recently made an observation. I am Active from outside and very Still from inside. He made me realise something, which i was not aware of. This is the role a mentor plays in your life. He observes how you play the game, independently, and makes his observations and guides properly backed by vast experience. Connecting with ambrish is one of the turning points in my life.

Limited needs

My needs are limited. Even if i have 50 shirts, i can wear one at a time. I am still using jeans that are 12 years old. I just two new ones last week... Everyone was surprised. I have 5 now! So many!

Some of my primary personal needs are

• A ac room to sleep. No mosquitoes.

• Clean bathroom

• 3x7 soft bed to sleep. 

• Four light veg meals.

• Charged mobile to connect with everyone.

• Some decent clothes

• A car with driver

• An organised workplace with internet

• A thoughtless mind

• Innovation lab

• Money to meet expenses and travel

• Money to give to the ones who need it.

• Mentors, close friends and family support

• Eternal aum sound within.

• Guru kripa. 

I think I have covered the needs here... Pretty much. This is the basic.. Everything else is an accessory.

Private trust or a similar organization.

Can we make a trust from this money generated from profits? So that the attachment to having can be eliminated? As profits get generated, there is an attachement to have more. With the profits are for the trust and not for the self, this attachment is eliminated.

Exponential growth

I remembered the story of the king, who agreed to give a saint one grain and double it for 64 times...the number of squares on a chess board...the figure was astronomically high. This is the power of compounding. It comes to roughly 25 lac million tonnes of rice! Mind boggling. 

Power of compounding in a trust

So why not based the model on compounding? Why not have a trust which

 Is guided by good financial advisors, who invest in global markets and startups? Why not open this trust to friends who have similar goals in life? 

The corpus of the trust has to grow and a portion to be given back. Keeping corpus growing exponentially.

When the corpus doubles. Ten percent is given to value addition to society via educational, startups, innovation labs etc.  and Ten percent is given to family. This fulfills both roles of family taken care of and sarva loka kalyanam. 80 percent is re invested.

I did an interesting exercise. I repeated this compounding 30 times. Do your own mathematics. 

Instead of just giving money for charity, can a perpetual giving machine be created? This set me thinking...

Phenomenal corpus

Start with rs 10 crores. Give back 500 crores to total to value addition. Give 500 crores to family. Corpus becomes 5,000 crores! 

Assuming that money doubles in 3 years with sound investment, like in a good pms, aif etc. we are talking of 100 years roughly.

Intention is to create a perpetual giving machine. No one touches the corpus as it multiplies!

Family members

No access to family members to the corpus, as usually by the 4th generation, wealth in hands of individuals is destroyed. This is a statistical average.

Family is taken care of the ten percent from the trust when the corpus doubles. 

Timeline for the trust

I was discussing this idea with a friend of mine. He asked me, when do you want to form the trust? What corpus will you start with? I told him. I don't know. I don't have a target. I just have an intention. Not a goal.

Manifestation

I don't set any targets. The intention is enough. This is the key to manifestation.

Can others participate?

Like a mutual fund, who's value of units is determined by its current value, we can set up a similar structure for people to participate in this, enter at the same time, with the same model. It would be fairly easy to manage this.

Legal structure

The legal structure, it's composition, board, rules etc will evolve over time, automatically.

Eternal om awareness of being in abundance:

Awareness of aum will keep you away from the mind tricks. You should be able to hear aum sound at all times within. While eating, sleeping, taking, working. This is nothing but anahata sound. It can manifest in different ways like bells, conch, flute etc. but staying connected at all times is the key, not only while meditating.

Everything else is knowledge. It's not of any use, without awareness.

Eternal acceptance:

Age status and gender are just labels. What happens let it happen, as it's the law of nature to be born, live age and die one day... It's accepted. No attachements And no aversions. We are only a witness. That's all

No desire to have originates from no attachements or aversions to the outcome. Outcome can be a goal, a thing, an event, a person, anything. This also means that you operate free of fear or greed.

Awareness in doing

So the action taken is 100 percent with awareness. Fearlessly, doing what is right for the larger good, unbiased. 

Opportunity as the founder

As a company founder, i have to opportunity to set a specific culture for values and value addition in the companies i run. 

This is happening through me, as a channel. Through roles. The journey is always from

Many to few to one to none to all! 

I am at a stage of none to all... As of now... Most of the times.

Targets and goals:

Things are just happening now ... Without any goals, without any timeline, just with our intention of giving value addition to others lives. 

Who will ask whom:

I don't seek anything for myself... As there is no one to ask from now...
